I saw the image of a tornado tossing about the debris of human opinion. The storm was a distraction. What was true for Elijah is true for us. Elijah was told the Lord was not in the storm. He is the still small voice offering the peace of God’s truth.
If we want that peace we must remember two truths. God will forewarn us of what we need to know when we need to know it. “I will tell you the future before it happens” (Isaiah 42:9), and God will faithfully perform what He promised. “I carry out the predictions of my prophets” (Isaiah 44:26). All the rest is just debris from the storm.
Amen! And thank you!
So good!
This is calming, in deed. Thank you!
