One of our local weather forecasters stated that a series of storms are approaching the West Coast. He said, “The first low and cold front will arrive around Saturday the 2nd of November. An even deeper low will develop just a few days later and move offshore on the 4th-5th of November. Winds could become an issue with that second system. Something I am watching closely.”
In the Spirit, another kind of storm is coming that will release significant winds of change. Those winds will sweep across our nation from the west to the east on Tuesday, November 5, as our votes are counted and the results are broadcast. As our weather local forecaster wisely said regarding a natural storm, his words will have an application to what will happen in our nation spiritually. As the approach of this powerful system is coming it is something we should watch closely.
The watchmen who are discerning the events that will transpire on November 5 are issuing a warning to prepare for what is about to happen. That warning will help people prepare their hearts and not be caught by surprise by the results of the disrupting winds of change.
Some storms knock down the dust and blow the leaves a bit. Others, like Helene, and like the one Jesus spoke of, can dislodge houses from their foundation and ruin them. Wisdom dictates that we build on high ground, and anchor our foundation to a rock.
May we find ourselves so anchored in the storms that are coming.

Thank you for this timely word. I live on the West Coast (Northern California). Interestingly, I had a vivid dream when I woke up this morning (and today is also the last day of 2024 Sukkot). My dream: “President #44’s abandoned and storm-damaged home had several (flesh-colored) mannequins all over the grounds of his property. The mannequins were positioned on their backs, stuck to the mud that covered the grounds of the property. Some of the mannequins looked lifeless, some look dead, and some looked like they were dying (taking their final breaths).” End of dream.
