A Chinese surveillance balloon has captured a great deal of media attention in the last few days. It traversed the geography of the United States without interruption giving it a free pass until it was finally shot down over the Atlantic. The government issued several reasons why no action was taken, one being they did not want the debris from an engagement to fall and injure anyone. I thought it odd since at the time I was reading the news report the balloon was floating over eastern Montana. I’ve been to eastern Montana numerous times and can assure you, for the most part, the only debris field threat would be to the well-being of a few coyotes and ground squirrels.
The balloon saga offers us an image of some segments within the Church who are willing to watch and not engage the enemy. These are well-meaning followers of Jesus who are ignorant of the enemy’s tactics and their calling to engage evil. They are spiritual balloon watchers, willing to let hell float by and not engage its evil through prayer or action and in some cases, even recognition of its reality. They have placed spiritual lawn chairs in the backyard of their fellowship and invited friends over to have yet another weekend party taking only an occasional glance skyward at what is happening in our world waiting once again until the balloon flies off toward the horizon and disappears out of sight and mind.
If you are not familiar with the proposals of The Great Reset, Central Bank Digital Currency, ESG, and the global influence of WEF, then it’s time to get educated. Those who are preparing these things to insert their influence into our lives and radically change our world have been floating trial balloons over our lives for the last decade preparing for an invasion of dark intent. Only the Church, not a new government, promises from compromised politicians, woke believers, or moving to a “safe” part of America will turn the tide.
Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, wrote Proverbs 24:11-12, “Rescue the perishing; don’t hesitate to step in and help. If you say, ‘Hey, that’s none of my business,’ will that get you off the hook?” (MSG). Living uninformed will not be an excuse when we choose to remain ignorant of what is planned that will harm people and destroy the nations in which they live.
The Church is called to be interrupters. Our words and actions are supposed to interrupt the works of hell. When we have gathered enough spiritual intelligence to see clearly what is taking place, we cannot remain silent as hell floats over our lives unchallenged in preparation for an invasion of evil.
good word
“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless.
Not to speak is to speak.
Not to act is to act.”
― Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Amen !!!!
Great analogy. The ‘church’ has been silent on controversy too long. Fortunately there are many on the ‘fringe’ even in the church awakening to the troubles and Hope still abounds. Thank you Garris.
