Battlefield commissions are being issued on the field of spiritual warfare that will create new ranks of leadership within the Church. In the military, a battlefield commission is awarded to enlisted soldiers who are promoted to commissioned officer rank for outstanding leadership on the battlefield during combat. In the Church, a similar promotion is taking place. The Lord is promoting those whose gifts and calling were not seen in the past during a less critical season of history until this current spiritual conflict developed and required a level of spiritual bravery not encountered in less critical times.

A new cadre of generals of the faith is emerging under the promotion of the Lord. These individuals were created to lead God’s people in times of crisis as commanding generals under the direction of the Supreme Commander Jesus Christ. These generals will have at their disposal an angelic host of immense power and authority to accomplish the will of God on Earth. 

Those currently being promoted didn’t allow fear, pride, and self-importance to interfere with their willingness to courageously obey the commands of the Lord. Their acts of courageous obedience put them in the line of enemy fire, some of that fire came from within the ranks of the Church. It came from those who either did not see the battle, were told the war was not real, or when seeing the conflict, turned and ran away from their calling when they were needed most.

In the last year, some notable generals of the faith were called home. None of these individuals began as a general. They began serving in less notable positions akin to mopping floors and cooking meals for God’s people until the enemy attacked the Church in their generation. In those decisive moments of history, they picked up the weapons of spiritual warfare and entered the fray not caring for their personal safety or reputation. They ran toward the enemy like David did when he ran toward the mocking giant Goliath. Their bravery motivated others to follow their courageous acts of faith. That kind of leadership is only discovered on the battlefield of hot combat. It is the kind of leadership God’s people need in this current generational conflict.
