Wisdom, the biblical kind, keeps us spiritually safe because we live our lives in line with God's truth. This wisdom is what Solomon wrote about in the book of Proverbs. God's wisdom serves a purpose. "Their purpose is to teach people wisdom and discipline, to help...
What gives us hope to endure the struggles of this life is that someday those struggles will come to an end, and a new, unimagined life will appear. I cannot imagine trying to live through the struggles of this life without that hope. Each day, I thank God for the...
God's word describes Jesus as the opposite of what some are being taught about Him. His true and full nature is an offense to their image of God. As time, as we know it, comes to its conclusion, the Lord will reveal the fullness of His nature for all the world to see....
So much seems to be coming apart at the seams in our world. Truth is being rejected along with common sense. Those in positions of authority are imposing evil on us and demanding our compliance as if it were the right thing to do. It would be easy to lose hope if we...
It’s important to discern and appreciate the wide variety of expressions of faith that exist within the Church. We are not all the same. To require that all believers express their faith in lockstep is a very limited understanding of the diversity God intended for His...

Last night something happened in our home that was a mix of both fear and humor. In the middle of the night, I woke up. For some reason, my right hand itched. To relieve the itch, I extended my arm out into the darkness and began scratching. What I didn't realize was...
Despair is a thief of our joy. It robs us of hope while we are waiting for God to fulfill what He has promised. Our battle in these times is not the resolution of the issues used to create our despair. The battle is against a spirit that needs to be addressed and...
