A few minutes ago, the Lord gave me a word that was so impactful it affected me physically. He said, "I am bringing to you people you have been told to reject. This rejection includes those who have been brave enough to broadcast the rejected message. I am doing this...
All of God's judgments have within them an expression of His mercy. His mercy has a limit, not on God's ability to love sinful people, but on the extent and purpose of His judgment. People too easily think that God enjoys judging sin. Because of that misunderstanding,...
A coming revival in the Church will fill the Temples of God with His glory. In this covenant, the Temple represents our lives, not a physical structure. In the time of Haggai, the people had allowed God's Temple to go unfinished. This incomplete representation of the...
If you have been gifted with prophecy or you are someone who is prophetically inclined, you must be willing to address subjects you have been told to remain silent about. Prophecy penetrates barriers of deception that exist within the culture and the Church....
It has been 40 years since I fired up a wood stove. The last time was in the early 80s when our family lived in a 100-year-old ranch house in Kalispell, Montana. The house was not insulated. On cold mornings, my boots would freeze to the floor in the boot room. Our...
Our plans for ministry do not release the power of God. Obedience does. When God decides to move, He moves. No plan of ours can take credit for such divine intervention. In one meeting Peter relayed what happened. “As I began to speak the Spirit fell on them, just as...
Any individual or group that offers a vision of the future apart from the will of God is like offering someone a sinking rowboat filled to the gunnels with water. It will eventually sink. These sinking vessels are failed attempts to find direction without the rudder...
Last week, Jan and I watched the movie, Noah. One of our favorite actors, Russell Crowe, starred in the film. We saw the movie when it first came out in 2014, but since it has been a while since we last watched it, we watched it again. The film takes liberty with the...
Truth has a way of walking out of tombs of censorship and secrecy to be resurrected into the light of day for all to see. No fact and no plan to hide the full measure of truth can escape the power of resurrection. In my lifetime, I have seen two very...
It feels like we are being herded down a hallway leading to a destination that is not of our choice. God gave us a powerful tool that enables us to open up a new way and begin moving in a different direction. That tool is faith. It is not faith in world systems or...
We need to be careful when we read the whole of biblical history and think it does not apply to our lives today. Some have dissected God’s word using the scalpel of their preferred theology to remove certain aspects of the unchanging God that make them uncomfortable....
In each new season, the Lord gives me a word for the Church. I preach that word wherever I speak until the season is over. Typically, these seasonal words come from something I see in the Spirit. For the fall of 2022, I saw a large gate leading to the future. It had...
Spending time on my stationary exercise bike has taught me something about the life of faith. Being faithful does not always mean we are going somewhere. Being faithful in the small things day in and day out conditions us for those times when we need to move under the...
Today, we are having a woodstove installed in our home. We already have gas heat, but the woodstove will share the heating duty in the future. Its real purpose is to be available when our energy supply is either limited or not available. I have laid up a supply of...
His name was Paul Revere, not Paul Reverse. The mission of his Midnight Ride was to warn sleeping citizens what was coming. He did not reverse course and run away from the approaching threat. He sounded an alarm making him a target willing to die for what he honored...
