I have been talking with friends who are in a major transition. The fact is, while we have been going through our own personal transitions, the whole world also entered a major transition. It adds a weightiness to what we are personally processing, and sometimes we...
Why does God allow evil? And doesn’t that make Him complicit to some degree? The better question: Why did God allow His beloved family free will, and why do we allow evil? Why have atrocities been committed down through history by every tribe and nation? Even the...
To remember God’s goodness is an act of worship. We start to actually experience His goodness and are being changed in the process. Remembering moves Him to do again in us, in our time, what He did in the past. As a reminder to myself, I turned the words of the...
As the Lord continues to reset His Church amid all the exposures and the back-and-forth of denials, He is doing something new in the Church, not just with those who have abandoned what true prophecy is supposed to be, but with all members of the Church, no matter...
We must be careful where we place our trust. A misplaced trust will put us in a place of spiritual and emotional jeopardy where disappointment and disillusionment are sure to come. This is why some fall away from the faith. They did not continue to trust in God or His...
In the New Covenant life, we are supposed to be encouragers. That’s not all of our assignment. There are times when encouragement will be displaced by a warning. These warnings have occurred across the timeline of Scripture, from Genesis to the end of Revelation. What...
In prayer, I saw an image. The image was of an underground river that flowed beneath the surface turmoil and obstacles of life. The person in the image jumped into an opening on the surface, allowing themselves to be carried by the current to an unknown destination....
Because of what is happening in the Church where forms of deception are becoming visible, we can learn something from how David was able to lead faithfully in private and in public. When David was king, he led his home the same way he ruled the nation. There was no...
Occasionally, I will read things written or spoken by a follower of Jesus that sound more like an alignment with the spirit of the age than a word of revelation. We are seeing this taking place on a global scale as a result of Shawn Bolz’s sin and the impact it’s...
Those who lead a family, a business, a congregation, or a movement of churches may need to hear a word that contradicts and confronts an accepted narrative that is leading those they serve in the wrong direction. I once had a pastor tell me that all prophetic words...
Something has come to mind several times in the last week. It just came to mind again, interrupting my normal morning routine. I thought it was time to speak about what I was sensing. The Lord asked me to pray a prayer of prevention. The USS Abraham Lincoln, an...
In recent days, when controversy in the prophetic movement has surfaced, we need to understand what happened along the way that led us to this place. It’s not a complicated issue if we understand what happened to those involved. It’s also a safeguard for the rest of...
It’s too easy to view human opposition to the will of God as an insurmountable obstacle. What we can also too easily forget is that any form of human defiance to God's will eventually become a weapon the Lord will use against the defiers to protect His people and...
After years of working in international missions, I learned how to adapt to long flights across oceans and continents. What I did on long flights was go into what I called airplane mode. In airplane mode, I trained myself to adapt my mind and body to experience a...
A resetting of the prophetic movement is taking place. The Lord continually resets the Church to its original purpose because we have a tendency to wander. Resets are not comfortable. They challenge our assumptions and return us to God’s original purposes. Some are...
