As nations gather for a possible war in the Middle East, we need to be reminded of something. God is the only one we can trust when these conflicts take place. That reminder will keep us safe as conflicts multiply. Where we place our trust will reveal that God is our...
Any unconfessed sin we tolerate in our lives will have terrible consequences. These hidden sins have destroyed the reputations of individuals, the legacy of a family, and, sadly, they mar the Lord's reputation among His people and become a sad witness before the...
I’ve seen it happen many times in my lifetime: someone sins and disgraces the Lord and the mission of the Church, and a flurry of exposure takes place. When sin is discovered in the camp, people want a pound of flesh to prove their point, punishing the guilty beyond...
It is easy to prematurely brand people and not understand the system that is leading them into error. John had some strong words to say about this issue. “Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of...
For those who are aware of what is currently happening in the world, Israel is preparing for war with various nations all bent on removing Israel from the face of the map. Proxy nations, all under the direction of Iran, are preparing to attack Israel with massive...
When I was a cop, I never liked getting a radio call to break up a bar fight. Bar fights made no sense because all the involved parties were drunk. In their state of intoxication, they abandoned good sense and began to randomly throw punches. When the fight was broken...
When Jan and I lived in Berlin, Germany, we would occasionally visit museums. One museum display was especially interesting. It was the Ishtar Gate of the ancient city of Babylon displayed at the Pergamon Museum in Berlin. As I stood before the display, I couldn’t...

Declaring opinions or the positions we have about heated issues are not prophecies no matter how prophetic sounding they may appear or how well-crafted the delivery may sound. We need to look deeper than just its presentation. While there will be a final winnowing of...
Recently, I have noticed people are discarding portions of Scripture telling us certain texts do not apply to us or that the text does not reveal the heart of God. It is a consequential choice to make. Discarding God's word is nothing new. It has happened before in...
In the last four years, many things have happened bringing to the surface feelings and positions that reveal a divided Church. A global medical challenge, another contentious election, opinions regarding human sexuality, and other issues have revealed that we are not...
Death, disease, divorce, or any major life change are all the same in many ways. They create a set of ruins where something that was once alive, and flourishing is no longer present. It is upon those ruins that the Lord will rebuild something new. The Lord revealed...
