The Lord is clarifying the purpose of our worship. This is not about the style or location of our worship. It’s about the substance of our worship. This is not limited to a public worship service. It affects all areas of our lives – how we lead our families, how we do...
As Jan and I were walking through the historic cemetery in our small town, we passed by our grave sites. We bought those sites over 20 years ago when we first moved to town. We had the grave marker installed a couple of years ago, so our kids wouldn’t have to...
Amid all the turmoil taking place within the Church, we are being given a gift. We have entered a time where the confidence of the Church is being tested and examined. In that examination, we will see who and what we have been following. At the end of that...
Some battles in God’s Kingdom do not require our skill to gain victory. They only require our worship. The Lord will fight these battles to reveal the power of His name. At this time in history, we are in the middle of such a conflict. The Lord has a plan for His...
Life can become a strenuous exercise at times like the time in which we are currently living. We need moments of release from an unrelenting pressure to always understand what is happening. These moments of release are not attempts to escape reality. They are times of...

When I went off to college, I was like a fish out of water. I was in a distant state on my own for the first time. I felt vulnerable. My dorm room was set aside for athletes. It wasn’t a fraternity but it functioned like one. In the first days after arriving on...
Everything God plans to display on Earth begins in the Church. Even the judgments of God. “For the time has come for judgment, and it must begin with God’s household. And if judgment begins with us, what terrible fate awaits those who have never obeyed God’s Good...
