COME AND FIND US, LORD

As the Lord continues to reset His Church amid all the exposures and the back-and-forth of denials, He is doing something new in the Church, not just with those who have abandoned what true prophecy is supposed to be, but with all members of the Church, no matter their gifting.

If this reset is just for someone else or some group, we will miss out on what God wants to do in us personally. If not dealt with, we will become part of a confrontive crowd seeking only to find fault in others, ignoring what God wants to do in us. The Lord is releasing a new sense of humility among God’s people.

Many things can draw us away from God. Trying to gain more likes on a Facebook post or seeking to fit in with a particular group of people can lead us away from the heart of God. This can also happen in the pursuit of wealth or fame, or in anything that draws us away from God’s heart and does not bear any lasting fruit.

In those moments of recognition, this needs to become our prayer: “Give me a helping hand, for I have chosen to follow your commandments. O Lord, I have longed for your rescue, and your instructions are my delight” (Psalm 119:173-174).

At some point in our journey of faith, when we realize we have lost our way, all of us will need God to come and help us find our way back. None of us is exempt from this kind of rescue.

This return requires an honest assessment of our lives: “I have wandered away like a lost sheep; come and find me, for I have not forgotten your commands” (Psalm 119:176). Lost sheep need a shepherd.

When we realize our efforts are not working out and we become the judge, jury, and executioner of fellow believers, we have lost our way. Only God knows where we have gone, and only He knows where to find us if our hearts are still open to His correction.
