CONFUSING THE ENEMY AND FRUSTRATING HIS PLANS

King David had become frustrated at what he was seeing and experiencing in the city where he lived. In his desperation, he cried out to God, “Please listen and answer me, for I am overwhelmed by my trouble” (Psalm 55:2). While the historical context is different, the pain and sorrow David experienced are the same today as they were then.

God’s word has something to say about the violence and conflict we see playing out in some of our cities in the United States. This is not unique to the United States. It has manifested throughout global history each time a hellish plan is initiated.

Regarding what David was seeing, he wrote, “Confuse them, Lord, and frustrate their plans, for I see violence and conflict in the city. Its walls are patrolled day and night against invaders, but the real danger is wickedness within the city. Everything is falling apart; threats and cheating are rampant in the streets” (Psalm 55:9-11).

The real danger in what we are seeing in our cities is wickedness, not misguided policies or social ignorance. Wickedness in government opens the door to every kind of evil and then releases a spirit of anarchy. If anarchy is not addressed, its presence will increase.

If you thought what I just wrote about was the turmoil currently happening in Minneapolis, you would be correct. It would also be correct for those who think they are innocent of any wrongdoing and assume the moral high ground.  We are all guilty of something. That kind of guilt creates a humility that allows us to cross social divides, humbly seeking the Lord and coming together with fellow believers to find a way forward through the chaos.

The Church is called to speak the truth in love. Sometimes we must wait until all the evidence has come in before we can rightly judge what has been presented to us as the final verdict. In the waiting, we will allow the Lord, not our emotions, to speak to us.  If we don’t wait before we speak, our contribution may align us with the voices of chaos and anarchy.

The unity Jesus talked about was not about agreement on every social issue. Issues don’t save us; only Jesus saves. At our best, we only see a small part of a much larger issue. The way forward for any person, city, or nation can only be found in Jesus. To meet in that unified place will demonstrate to the world that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

Keeping Jesus central to our efforts is what will confuse the enemy and frustrate his plans. That’s our choice to make when “Everything is falling apart; threats and cheating are rampant in the streets.”

Best to see what is a small part of a much larger picture is to gain the spiritual filter of a Son of God.
Sons are tasked as Jesus was tasked to only do what the Father revealed.
Through this filter His earthly ministry comes alive to see it from a between the lines of space& time over the tribal allotted lands & waterways.
His travel iteniary was strategic & tactical revealing both the condition of the land as well as the people spiritually.
Best example is story of woman at the well.
The aha part of the story was after it played out He told His disciples He had food they knew not about.
This was food from the Father. It went something like.’ Hey Son, remember when we made the earth to later see those pesky Phillistines corrupt the wells & waterways of Abraham’& hid sons with Dagon & his cohorts?
Just speak again to the water underground to remove the residual effects of their blood worship. Once restored its powers overhead in the end heaven will loose its illegal occupancy over this territory.
This is one of many of the things Jesus( Yeshua) did as He lived out His earthly ministry.
Take away is to offer church pathways to Sonship, daughtership & Bride of Christ toward its Glorious destiny & birthright.
