One thing that Spirit-led prayer provides is sight. The Lord will show us things we need to know or what He intends to do when our prayers are answered.
As Jan and I were taking communion and praying, at one point we began praying in the Spirit, using the language of eternity to guide our prayers.
As we prayed, I saw an image. It was of demonically controlled people having their feet cut out beneath them and bringing an end to their evil plans. It was a sudden and abrupt move of God.
As the sword of God’s truth cut them off mid-stride in the execution of their evil plan, they fell into their place of deception and deceit, unable to do what they had planned.
In the coming days, expect God to move quickly and unexpectedly, cutting off the enemy at his knees. It will be something not imagined or expected.
“He will guard the feet of his faithful ones; but the wicked shall be cut off in darkness; for not by might shall a man prevail” (I Samuel 2:9).
So timely, wise and well-said.
Habakkuk was interceding for the corrupt and compromised leaders (prophets, priests, adn princes) of Jerusalem – – praying for conviction and amendment of their ways.
God’s response was to declare “I’m raising up the Assyrians and they will clean house – slaughtering the wicked leaders and even enslaving some of the people.”
Thanks for your boldness and fidelity to the Word and Spirit of God.
