One person’s misinformation can be another person’s truth. These are confusing times for those who have not established what is true. We need to weed through what is presented to us as a “fact” to discover the truth of the matter, even if it contradicts our understanding of reality. Only proven evidence, evidence that flows from Scripture and rises above opinions and preferences to reveal the heart of God can be called the truth. That truth is revealed when we are willing to lay aside what we have been told to believe and follow that revealed truth to its conclusion.
We need to search for what really matters and is true because the choices we make will direct our lives. That search will require effort on our part because so many well-crafted delusions and deceptions have been prepared to lead us astray. Engage in that process. It really matters.
“For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return” ((Philippians 1:10).
Thank you!
