We are surrounded by other worlds. These are not distant planets in faraway galaxies, but unexplored areas of interest we have not yet discovered in this world. Each area of interest has a door. Once you walk through that door you see a world you had never imagined.
This week, I was exploring the field of economics and studying those who set policies that direct global finances. A verse in Revelation forecasting the future came to mind. “A loaf of wheat bread or three loaves of barley will cost a day’s pay. And don’t waste the olive oil and wine” (Revelation 6:6). Another verse also entered my thinking “For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil” (I Timothy 6:10). The goal of my exploration was two-fold: to be prepared for what might come and to use my preparation to help others as an example of what it means to love my neighbor as myself.
We are on the cusp of territory unlike any in recent history. What is approaching could make previous economic downturns pale in comparison. This kind of talk has previously been dismissed and labeled as doom and gloom conspiratorial fantasy but now it appears to be a real possibility by those who understand what is taking place. What is coming together is a perfect storm of deception, decline, and despair. As this unusual time unfolds, it will reveal all kinds of evil that have been empowered by wealth not dedicated for good, but for evil.
Walking through an unfamiliar door and exploring another world is done to reveal to us the context of an unknown reality and prepare us to receive words of prophecy in that context we might have been previously unwilling to explore. This exploration is the mission of a spiritual scout, something I detailed in my book, BEYOND: Exploring the Frontier of God’s Expanding Revelation. Many of the prophetic warnings of the past have been ignored in this generation. Those words are now being rediscovered by prophetic scouts. In some settings, we have been taught to ignore these warnings in exchange for a palatable and undisturbed faith – a faith that can at times sound more like an Eastern religion of disengagement or the talking points of a social or political agenda disconnected from biblical truth.
Prophetic scouts are beginning to return from their exploration of other worlds revealing to us what the future might bring. We need to listen to their reports no matter what kind of emotional and intellectual barriers have been placed in front of the door of their revelation. The message these scouts bring back will help us strengthen our faith and prepare us to walk into the future, not in fear, but in the wisdom that prophetic foreknowledge provides.
Good thoughts, Garris.
God told Ezekiel that a Prophet is required to go into the breaches and build up a wall to protect the people against invasion by marauding enemies. Many believing people have naively made breaches in their economic walls and will need instruction and encouragement to rebuild.

Thank you for saying that. Wont go into details online but you are giving some clarity and more understanding to some well accepted faith issues i have been struggling with .

a few months back I was reading Jeremiah!!!! and WOW!!! people even then, liked having their ears tickled…NO gloom and doom for them!!! nothing’s changed EXCEPT I believe that more and more people are waking up….
Being prepared for me has been getting more intimate with the LORD, buying extra produce so that in the event here in Australia there are needs I can be a provider at least of some food perhaps….
Being close to the LORD enables us to share HIS peace with those around us that have no peace…
Blessings to you Garris and your family
Thank you Garris for this insight. I will read your book (again)!
