Yesterday, Jan wrote the following to friends and leaders of ministries within our various spheres of relationship. As I read Jan’s words, I felt this word had a larger audience in mind, so I am sharing it across my social media platforms. I

t’s time to examine the little things in our lives that we too easily dismiss as unimportant, but unless they are dealt with, it will limit the influence and scope of our voice. A boldness is promised to those whose slate is clear of these often-ignored inhibitors of our faith.

As you know, it is an opportune time, a Kairos, God-time. As the world shakes even more, we have been leaning into more silence, listening more carefully to know His heart and ways more deeply. Once again, our need to go low—with a humble and contrite heart— has been a major focus as He exposes the “little things” we didn’t take too seriously and excused or tolerated. Simultaneously, we have been speaking up with greater boldness, as we (the Church) go through a serious cleansing and purifying, restoring, and reforming. 

Our prayer for us:

May the Lord your God give you rest on every side,

     knowing that He will deal with His enemies. I Kings 5:4

No adversary or disaster can rob you 

     of His word to you. 

Knowing Him—may you find rest for your soul. 

Rest is the highest form of faith,

     and I bless you with increasing rest

     knowing that His promise will be birthed.

In the name of Jesus Christ,

     I bless your spirit with increasing certainty

     that He will accomplish what He says He will do. 

Listen to His word:

     Will I bring my promise 

     to the point of birth

     and then restrain it

     and not cause it to be born?

Does God purpose something only to abandon it?

Does He begin something and then frustrate it

     before it can move toward fulfillment?

Does He take a process almost to the end

     and not bring it to completion?

He is your Divine Certainty—He does not lie.

He is sovereign and He is your God.

He is the great I AM—the divine I 

     who is sovereign over what is counterfeit,

     over every hidden work of darkness,

     over every act of injustice.

He is sovereign over what is true.

His justice brings cleansing and purifying, 

     divine renewal, revival, and reform.

What can fail in Him? Nothing. 

He does not change His mind about you 

     or about His promises.

May you make your decisions with that knowledge—

     order your affairs in anticipation 

     of His word being fulfilled. II Peter 3:8-9

Things are going to happen so fast

     you won’t be able to keep up;

     everything will be happening at once:

     an instant springing into being,

     a sudden breakthrough,

     a supernatural, painless birth,

     a spontaneous miracle,

     a family restored in an hour,

     a nation saved in a day.
