David knew the exact size of Goliath, the kind of weapons he carried, and his deadly potential. It wasn’t a lack of faith to measure the giant’s capabilities. Never be afraid to measure the size of what opposes your faith and stands in the way of the fulfillment of God’s promises. That knowledge sets the stage for a glorious testimony once the giant in your life falls at your feet.
It’s not a lack of faith to be realistic about the threat level of a giant as long our trust in the Lord is greater than our fear of an imposing giant and his threats of defiance. David had that kind of warrior mindset when against all natural odds he ran forward in faith and sunk a rock deep into Goliath’s forehead. Because David trusted God more than he feared Goliath, he watched the giant fall before him and before an overconfident Philistine army and the doubting and fearful nation of Israel who stood frozen in fear.
There are many giants in our land. They seem formidable, but they will begin to fall as rocks of truth sent forward in faith begin to sink deep into their deception. The thud of their fall will be a loud and shocking announcement that truth has arrived and prevailed.
Very timely for me Garris, Thank You !!
Truth will always defeat deception as Light will always erase darkness.
