For the last few months, the Lord has challenged Jan and me to address our assumptions and compromises. We have been invited by the Lord to repent and adjust our lives in a more focused way to align our hearts with Him. We know these adjustments are happening in others who also sense a spiritual urgency at this moment in history. Even the smallest thing we allow to remain in our lives contrary to the will of God will stumble our faith when we need to remain upright and focused. Something larger than our present understanding is unfolding before us and if not addressed personally, it will sweep us away in a flood of unrighteousness.
The bowls of Heaven have been filled with the prayers of God’s people. Those bowls are about to tip over and pour into the nations. The Lord will demonstrate His power in that tipping when it seems to some that our faith has made little impact on the world. When those prayers enter this realm, the Lord will receive great glory as He demonstrates His power.
David wrote Psalm 9 in a time much like the one in which we are currently living. He described ropes of death that had entangled him, and floods of destruction that were sweeping over his life. In his time of distress, “I cried out to the Lord; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears” (vs 6).
David wrote, “The nations have fallen into the pit they dug for others. Their own feet have been caught in the trap they set. The Lord is known for his justice. The wicked are trapped by their own deeds. The wicked will go down to the grave. This is the fate of all the nations who ignore God” (Psalm 9:15-17).
The prayers of God’s people are being offered with increasing passion. They are seeing the Kingdom potential of those nations drain away because they have ignored God. We speak of a coming Great Awakening. That awakening will start in the Church and then expand to impact the nations. No nation will last forever. This holds true for America. Only a repentant heart in the people of God will hold off such an ending until God’s will for that nation is accomplished.
The Church is an ambassadorial presence to the nations of the world representing another Kingdom. We have been placed on the earth to pray in the will of God for all people. Our prayerful cries for God’s help in our increasing distress have been heard in Heaven. In the coming months, the promise of God to never leave us or forsake us will be publicly demonstrated for all to see. Those who repent of their compromise and assumptions are being made ready to see and understand what God is about to do.
I love this. And I so identify with the changes God is making in my life. He has changed my life over the years so many times but right now things are happening so rapidly as he goes after every little nook and cranny of my heart. He’s leaving nothing untouched. I know others who are experiencing this also. I am so thankful to be in the potters hands
