We have entered what seems like a spiritual lull. It resembles a sailing vessel in the doldrums mid-ocean with slack sails. What appears to be a lack of motion does not mean that in the heavenly realm, significant events are not unfolding. It means those developments have not yet manifested in our world. Don’t waste this time. Use it to strengthen your faith and move deeper into the peace of God in preparation for what is coming. 

Many will link the slow and leisurely summer season with what they falsely assume is transpiring in the heavens. The two realms aren’t the same. Discernment is not just about understanding what is happening in the world around us. It is the ability to see what is happening in the spiritual realm.

Stay alert. When a sudden shift happens and unforeseen developments begin to impact your life, if you have not wasted this time, you will not be caught off-guard and off-balance. You will be able to move with the immediate instruction of God’s Spirit and not be like those who are suddenly confused and directionless caught in a false sense of earthly security.
