In the West, we have created and exported to the nations of the world theologies and interpretations of God and His Kingdom that are like wax figurines standing in the sanctuary of a religious museum. They are untested by times of trouble and turmoil and will not be able to withstand the test of the heat that is coming upon our world.
The God of the Old Testament is the same God of the New Testament. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever across time. He remains unchanged by the foolishness and whims of human understanding and interpretation.
As increasing levels of fear and uncertainty begin to sweep across our world, the unchanging nature of God will be the only secure place of refuge as our false hopes and vain imaginations begin to melt and form pools of regret at our feet. All that we see and all that we experience will be used by the Lord to awaken the Church and redeem the nations and their inhabitants.
