The words Jacob spoke, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I wasn’t even aware of it!” (Genesis 28:16) are words many of you will declare in the next season of your unfolding personal history. Jacob uttered these words when he awoke one morning while on his journey through unfamiliar territory and after using a rock as his pillow. During that uncomfortable night, he had a dream about a stairway to Heaven. The dream and its confirmation of God’s presence caused him to deepen his commitment to the Lord.
The uneasy feeling of vulnerability some of you are experiencing while passing through this uncertain and uncomfortable season of life will be transformed into a new level of confidence in the faithfulness of God. The Lord will make Himself known to you in dramatic ways confirming that your journey will be accompanied by a profound realization and awareness of His presence. Along the way, you may go to sleep one night with your head resting on the hard rock of your situation, but you will awaken from that harsh reality knowing “the Lord is in this place.” That will be your comfort as you continue along on your journey of faith.
Thank you Garris! I have felt the Lord drawing me in and is showing me His power and dominion and authority. That’s He’s not just a compassionate, patient, faithful, loving and forgiving God, but that NOTHING ever worries Him. I believe we will see the Lion manifest soon.
Thank you. very comforting and encouraging.
