When a ministry or a denomination demands NDA’s (Non-Disclosure Agreements) be set in place with all involved parties, it reveals that attorneys, not the Spirit of God is at work to protect the interests of the guilty and to protect corporate interests. Perhaps this is one of the problems we see happening in the Church today that hinders the victims of wrongdoing from disclosing events that led up to their abuse. Sadly, it places the Church in the hands of a civic judicial system, not in God’s hands. 

A clear, timely, and honest disclosure before the Church is required now more than ever. It will prevent us from forming agreements that perpetuate the secrecy of our sin and resulting missteps, the very thing that has led to the current problems we are now facing, which have negatively impacted the witness of the Church in culture.
