Yesterday, I heard the Lord say, “Momma Bears are rising!” These are mothers who have been awakened to the evil being perpetrated against their children by governmental programs bent on the destruction of their children’s innocence. They will become a ferocious force to contend with. When Jan and I lived in Montana we saw firsthand the power of a mother grizzly protecting her young. It is nothing to mess with.

These awakened mothers will not allow their children to be subject to the dangers of evil agendas. They will stand in the way of those plans in the strength of the Lord and become a major opposition to evil.

As the writer of Proverbs wrote, “Evildoers foster rebellion against God; the messenger of death will be sent against them. Better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than a fool bent on folly” (Proverbs 17: 11-12).

There is much evil being perpetrated in our world, even fostering its presence by naïve believers who do not yet see its danger. That fostering of evil is rebellion against God. The most vulnerable to this perpetration of evil are our children. A spiritually aware mother knows that reality and will protect her children with all her strength.

These women are not a group of unhinged women allowing unbridled emotions to speak for them. They are women of Scripture who understand right from wrong based on the truth of God’s word and common sense. They respond differently in the conflict of spiritual warfare because they are “clothed with strength and dignity” (Proverbs 31:25). They do this because “She speaks with wisdom” (vs. 26), the wisdom sourced from God’s truth, not changing human opinion.

Expect to see unlikely women rising to prominence as our culture continues to hand our children over to increasing displays of evil. These women will not display a false charge like a grizzly bear in its natural setting. They will enter the delusions being offered without fear and begin to dismantle their folly. The defense of their children will be a devastating display of God’s heart and power.
