The works of the flesh are contrary and opposed to the works of the Spirit. Whoever declares they are united in any way is walking along a path of deception. There is no union between the two.

 “The works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God” (Galatians 5: 19-21).

There is never a union of agreement between the works of the flesh and the works of the Spirit. If we discern this truth and maintain its distinct separation, it will keep us from living and promoting what God considers to be spiritually immoral no matter how unifying the issue of its union is presented.
