Jan and I were praying about the global challenges happening in our world. We were also praying for our children, both our natural and spiritual children. After we had prayed for a few minutes, I felt impressed that there was more to pray about, but I did not know what to pray. 

I suggested we take some time and pray together in our spiritual language. We have been doing this since we were first baptized in the Spirit almost 50 years ago. As a result of those prayers, we have seen God do what seemed impossible to our natural minds.

Apostle Paul said, “I thank God that I speak in tongues more than any of you” (1 Corinthians 14:18). That was a bold statement, but it highlights the importance of praying in tongues for a follower of Jesus.

As issues and tensions in the world increase and families face unimagined difficulties, what would happen if our churches gave greater attention to this kind of prayer? If we prayed in our heavenly language, we would be praying in the language of angels, bringing Heaven to Earth and releasing supernatural outcomes that our natural minds could not even consider, let alone imagine. 

The results  of our prayers in the Spirit would bear unusual fruit from the manifestation of this powerful spiritual gift – a gift the Lord intends for believers to possess and demonstrate.
