In this time of sorrowed separation, 

you have reached toward the veil wanting

to touch again what was, 

but is no longer here.

You are physically separated 

for this measured span of time

until eternity brings you back together

with the one you loved.

Before this painful passing,

together you believed that forever, 

and always,

your love would live on together in His presence,

no matter who remained,

or who departed.

You shared the promise of an inseparable bond, 

never severed,

but forever one together in the promise 

of an unbreakable union with Christ.
