The nations of the world are groaning under the leadership of compromised leaders. God has a plan to bring transformation to those nations through a process of spiritual reformation.
I listened to an interview with the president of El Salvador. I realized I was listening to a man who desires to seek God. He is a reformer of his nation. El Salvador was the murder capital of the world on par with the violence taking place in Haiti. Under his leadership, El Salvador is now safer than many cities in the United States.
He was asked how this national transformation came about. In his national leadership meetings, he said, “We prayed and asked for God’s wisdom.” The answers to those prayers began to transform the highest levels of the government. At the time, the nation was under the rule of gangs like MS-13, who controlled the nation and its politics. Those gangs have begun to lose their grip on the nation. The president of El Salvador said the greatest conflict in his nation is a spiritual battle, just like what is happening in the United States.
Reformation is about influence. Each of us is called to respond with righteousness wherever we live and work in our respective nations to influence the people with our dedication to Godly principles.
The miracle in El Salvador is a model for all nations, including ours. When good people are in places of leadership the grip of national bondage is lessened and the citizens will begin to prosper in all areas of life.
The Lord has heard the groans of our nation and the prayers of His saints. He is positioning His reformers to begin a process of reform that will change our nation’s direction.
“When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan” (Proverbs 29:2).
AMEN! El Salvador also created mega prisons to house some 40k gang members. God is on the move and Godly leaders is what every nation needs, starting with President Donald John Trump who seeks God and will relight the United States lighthouse, which is a beacon for the rest of the nations. “ If my people, which are called by my name, show humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” 2 Chronicles 7:14. He’s got the whole world in His hands. 🙏🏼🇺🇸🦅
What an inspiration that interview was! Certainly brought clarity to our current global situation. Many prayers to El Salvador!
I’m fortunate to live in a county with a few good Christian leaders and many citizens who regularly pray over the region. The Spirit has protected us from many outside assaults but we’re not immune — we continue to groan under the national cloud of evil that dominates our landscape.
The unexpected blessing of these evil times has been clarity for my children: There can be no doubt that “national identity” is not our identity! I know many in previous generations that were mislead into the idea that patriotism was part of the Christian life and a certain party would keep them safe. Those individuals have been terribly disillusioned in recent years and have had to exorcise national pride from their faith.
We pray for the people of every nation to seek first the Kingdom of God so that peace and prosperity can follow as El Salvador is witnessing.
