Just because someone celebrates something that is opposed to God’s will doesn’t mean we are required to join in that celebration to prove our love for them. It’s one thing to walk humbly and lovingly with those living in opposition to the truth of God’s word, it is another thing entirely to celebrate such things without the clarifying truth of Scripture.
Jesus walked with sinners and loved them, but He never compromised the truth of God’s original design for humanity or how we are to live as a unique creation of God within the definition of that original design.
“If you love Me, you will keep my commandments” (John 14:15).
Amen, thank you! This is a trying time to have so much shoved in our faces yet follow in Jesus’ steps and love everyone, very difficult task sometimes but I remind myself daily of His love and how he wants me to show it to others, which does not mean I condone or will be a part of, it only means I am representing Christ as He said to do.
