I’ve always appreciated the wisdom offered from past elders in the Church. Their wisdom faithfully plays out in the future, revealing our current reality.

Derek Prince is one elder with such wisdom. In the attached video, Derek explained what is happening now in some parts of the Church. He also prophesied what would happen in England with the current invasion of Islam and the transformation of that nation into an Islamic state.

Derek revealed his insight on the spirit of witchcraft at work in the Church. He said witchcraft is using any spirit that is not the Holy Spirit to get what you want. The power of the Cross has broken the power of the spirit of witchcraft.

Derek said, “On the Cross, Jesus administered to Satan a total, eternal, and irrevocable defeat. Jesus has left it to the Church to administer His victory.”

Paul wrote, “For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son” (Romans 5:10). The effect of the Cross was so powerful that it made God’s enemies His friends. Those who are not yet redeemed remain enemies of God.

Derek also said, “Once the Church loses sight of what was accomplished on the Cross, the Church can no longer administer Jesus’ victory over Satan.” Under the spell of witchcraft in the Church, God’s truth will be supplanted by lesser soulish interpretations that are not the truth, but appeal to a soulish nature.

Witcraft is an illegitimate power that does not honor God’s legitimate authority. It supplants the authority of Jesus and offers us a weakened alternative that will lead us into deception.

Here are some things Derek warned us about how the spirit of witchcraft works itself into the Church:

“Witchcraft has supplanted revelation by theology.”

“Witchcraft has supplanted discipleship with education.”

‘Witchcraft trains people’s minds. Discipleship trains people’s character.”

Witchcraft will create a “Religious atmosphere and educate their carnal minds. What you are educating are enemies of God. Which is what many seminaries are producing worldwide today.”

“Witchcraft replaces discernment with psychology.”

Witchcraft “Replaces supernatural direction, the leading of the Spirit, by a planned program.”

Witchcraft “Replaces supernatural power by eloquence.”

Witchcraft “Replaces the work of faith with reasoning.”

Witchcraft “Replaces love with legalism.”

All these things seem irrational to a soulish mind, but they must be considered because they can hinder the Church, making her ineffective in her mission.

Faith will sound irrational to a soulish mind. Our greatest task is to live in and from the victory of the Cross. That choice will create enemies with those in the Church who are still enemies of God and have allowed themselves to become attached to soulish representations of the Church.

We must remain faithful to the faith that the Lord demonstrated. That choice will stir up the enemies of God within the Church, but in the end, it will honor the Lord. To honor the Lord is the purpose and the reason for all aspects of our faith.
