Each of us has a role to play in the culture we live in, no matter how small it might appear. We can take part in what ignites a spiritual revolution, even when we speak a single spark of truth in love. 

To participate in this Great Awakening and revival, we must purposefully and continuously overcome our insecurities, intimidation, and fear of rejection. If not, our silence and complacency will become part of the problem, not the solution. 

Throughout the book of Judges, something was revealed that would happen in each succeeding generation. Judge after judge would warn the people to return to God’s truth. But they abandoned the Lord and began to worship the false idols of their culture. 

“After that generation died, another generation grew up who did not acknowledge the Lord or remember the mighty things he had done for Israel” (Judges 2:10).

If we don’t rise up and speak the truth of God’s word and hold tightly to that truth, we will begin to follow the descent of a culture into increasing levels of chaos and disorder. Willingness to speak the truth and hold our ground will prevent us from succumbing to the world’s mindset and being assimilated into the culture’s way of thinking and living. We won’t tolerate the falsehoods that want to take root in our minds.

Fan the flames of all that God put into you and allow yourself to burn with His fire. Speak the truth that needs to be spoken. Don’t let others speak for you.

To turn to God, we must return to His truth. We will turn to everything that is good and right – to what brings peace and joy – to what brings great breakthroughs and turnarounds we could not imagine possible.
