A Parchment Life

My skin is turning parchment.

The years of my aging now yielding to familial
DNA,

to youthful days running bare in the sun.

There is a coming to grips with

this process of life and living,

a reality check of sorts.

All of this is good,

this emerging gray and wrinkling me.

All of it is God’s goodness

a reflection

of lives well-lived in the sun

in the pleasures of this good earth.

I love it.."as the evidence of our aging increases..it reveals a story…" blessed we are that it is so..the way you have expressed this is so good!

    I can relate.
    Life in the Son,
    and the Son in me,
    reconciled to our Father,
what Life — is meant to Be.
