Pushing back on the lies we are being offered as established truths and an uncontestable fact is the nature of spiritual warfare. Holding the line on God’s truth will challenge the established deceptive narrative currently being offered in our social dialogue. Taking this stand in our lives creates the testimony and the legacy of our lives.
Our faith is being challenged with deceptions so well-crafted that to an undisciplined spirit, it will become more and more appealing to just accept them and move on with our lives insulated from God’s truth. The most deceptive of these fallacies have to do with Christ, His nature, and the way of salvation. The interaction between those issues and God’s truth is where the friction occurs with families, friends, and the larger culture. Those who ignore the implications of this interaction and dismiss its consequence out of hand will become imprisoned within the bars of their dismissal.
If we are looking for the next move of God, we must first investigate the condition of our hearts and what we have chosen to believe. It is there where the beginning of God’s next move is waiting to be revealed. Only by understanding and not abandoning what is forever true about the Lord can we walk out of a prison of deception where we have allowed ourselves to become incarcerated.
Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning, and the end of our faith. Only when we understand who He is can we escape from what is false to enter a place where we can live in true freedom. “Jesus said to the people who believed in him, ‘You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free’” (John 8:32).
Historically, God’s move amongst the unsaved (awakening) precedes the dialog, deicussion, and discernment from which proper doctrine is formed. With believers (revival/reformation), the awful conviction of sin (failure to live the truth and to oppose error) precedes the move of God.
