Everything in this world is connected. Nothing is isolated. All the assembled parts are connected to outcomes, either good or bad.
This morning, I was prompted to write this post when I read a news report of what is called the “Judgment Day” aircraft. This military aircraft has been moved from its base in the United States to Iceland to be closer to the war in Ukraine. The aircraft, an E-6B Mercury, was built on the chassis of a Boeing 707-320 passenger airliner. Its mission is to provide communication with nuclear submarines that serve as intercontinental ballistic missile carriers.
The Judgment Day aircraft is part of a larger developing scenario with many moving parts that if carried out will create dire possibilities. Depending on how one views the conflict in Ukraine, there are other parts being assembled that will either support or expose what is taking place.
While these dark developments are taking place on the world stage, there are other parts of life that when assembled will reveal issues closer to home. Some of those parts are simple compromises that lead to a breakdown of a person’s spiritual integrity. It can happen when we take yet again another second glance at a forbidden image and our mind begins to be reprogrammed for moral compromise or when hurtful words are not restrained in marriage and the assembled parts lead to a divorce.
The parts that lead to a compromise of our biblical and relational integrity always begin small putting together seemingly unconnected parts without discerning what is happening. It is like ignoring the repositioning of the Judgment Day aircraft and thinking it was just part of a normally scheduled military exercise. Everything we contribute to a relationship, a worldview, or how we participate in life is part of a larger developing image.
A worldwide movement of God’s Spirit is taking place. Do not dismiss this moment. It is being offered by God to thwart the works of darkness by changing hearts, not regimes or governments. Those changes can be the by-product of a revival, but it’s not the focus. Jesus is the focus when real and lasting change takes place.
We are called to interfere with the works of hell, works that will assemble horrible outcomes leading to unnecessary pain and suffering. While we need to have an informed faith about what is happening in our world, even more important is not losing sight of what God is doing. The Lord will be faithful to the end, an end of His design, not of human making.
Encouraging and informative Garris !
We are 1 more day closer to the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ! Amen
Father has declared a glorious future for the Sons of God, where nations they have discipled will appear before him as “Sheep Nations.” Faithful servants will be granted rulership over cities and nations, leading a restoration that will last 1000 years.
The one who appeared to Moses in the wilderness, and destroyed the 10 gods of Egypt on the way out, and then took 40 years to form and frame a new Nation, is able to evidence His Kingdom in a single generation!
