The staff of authority you carry is not something you want to hold onto because you realize the challenges it will create as you exercise its authority. Realizing those challenges, you have tried to throw the staff down and move on, but you can’t. The Lord has attached the staff to your hand. It has become part of you. 

You are about to enter a difficult season where critical decisions will need to be made as you lead others through the execution of those decisions. There will be significant opposition to the choices the Lord asks you to make. Just as it was with Moses, so it will be with you. Raise the staff over those decisions and watch the Lord release miracles as a result of your obedience.
