Some who analyze the subject of warfare are telling us that World War III has already begun. As the proxied elements of that global conflict continue to intensify, we will see something else take place that is not being considered by the participants and promoters. The Lord will demonstrate the power and intervening capability of prophetic declarations that were sent beforehand into the battlefields of these future conflicts.  

The word “hypersonic” is being used with greater frequency to describe advancements in technology, especially as it applies to warfare. Russia has declared they have hypersonic missiles able to travel at speeds upwards of Mach 10 (7,400 mph) eluding the capabilities of normal defensive intervention. China has developed a hypersonic generator able to power laser weapons, rail guns, and microwave weapons generating energy at 14 times the speed of sound. I’m sure the United States has its own futuristic weaponry in the works. With the creation of weapons that only a few decades ago was the stuff of fantasy movies, we are living in a global warzone where the next conflict might employ such weapons shaking our overconfidence in a stable future.

The technology surrounding these weapons will give an entirely new meaning to Paul’s words about spiritual warfare “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world” (II Corinthians 10:4).

Prophetic declarations are being positioned on the battlefields of future conflicts at the speed of faith. Their presence will interrupt what many are calling “inevitable” outcomes. What takes place will be like the battles fought by the nation of Israel in the last century that resembled the supernatural victories in the Old Testament, not the victories in the present day that are defined solely by superior natural firepower and tactics. 

The Lord has placed the weapons of spiritual warfare on the battlefields of future wars to counter and disempower natural weapons. As our nation’s attention was captured this week by the flight of a Chinese spy balloon floating across our nation, and while the devil was on full display at the Grammy awards without any filter of censorship, faithful saints of God were deep into the first engagements of a potential global conflict releasing weapons of spiritual warfare that travel at the speed of the Spirit undetected by hell. These spiritual weapons have been embedded in the terrain of future conflicts ready to fire at the perfect timing of God. Their release will come as a surprise to those whose mission it was to kill, steal, and destroy assuming no intervention would take place because they formed their battle plan without considering the power and preemptive capabilities of God.
