As turmoil increases among the nations, it’s important to understand that it’s nothing new. It has been taking place throughout human history and will continue until the Lord returns. 

After Paul spoke to the Stoic and Epicurean philosophers in Athens, they took him to the city’s high council to have him share his message about Jesus. In a city with an open forum for new ideas, they thought Paul’s message was novel. 

Paul told them about the creation of Adam, saying: “From one man he [God] created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and he determined their boundaries” (Acts 17: 26).

God creates nations. He waits patiently, sometimes for centuries, to bring salvation and deliverance to a nation. As difficult as the turmoil can become, He is the one who decides when a nation will rise and fall. Some of this turmoil among disputing nations will result in new national borders. What is most comforting is that He gave the nations to His Son, Jesus, as His inheritance. 

We are standing on God’s word of restoration, which will produce a glorious church that will rise. We stand on the word from Zechariah 10:1: that the Lord will restore His people with an outpouring of a latter rain. This was a word given to us in 1997. We have been praying for that outpouring ever since. 

We’ve been asking the Lord for the accumulation of the former and latter rains of the Holy Spirit to fall on the Church, releasing another Pentecost. We are asking for signs and wonders to follow those who believe in Him. We believe the plowmen will overtake the reapers in this miraculous harvest time to take place in the nations.
