A lot of people are concerned about the outcome of the 2016
elections. They are distressed over the limited offerings we have for President
on both sides of the aisle as if an outcome contrary to their preference will
somehow hinder the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

While the world can seem
unstable and unpredictable, don’t forget this calming reality – God knows what
He is doing. In the lineage of Jesus Christ is listed a hooker named Rahab and
a rapist-murderer named David and a whole list of less-than-perfect people. None
of these human frailties stumbled God’s plan and neither will the outcome of
this election, no matter which way it goes.

The dismay at the current state of affairs reflects a lack
of understanding about the authority of Jesus Christ to accomplish His will in
spite of who will eventually sit in the Oval Office. God has been here before
in the course of human history. He is not worried and neither should you.

“My
Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my followers would fight to keep
me from being handed over to the Jewish leaders. But my Kingdom is not of this
world.”John 18:36
