Be careful assuming we can dismiss Scripture simply because it was written in the Old Testament. “Your word, Lord, is eternal, it stands firm in the heavens” (Psalm 119:89). Jesus quoted Scripture from Deuteronomy as a challenge to the devil’s lies during His wilderness temptation. We can do the same using Scripture written during either covenant unless the context and inferred meaning is obviously something that no longer pertains to how we express our faith. God’s word is eternal truth, not something we can flippantly dismiss according to the whims of the culture or a modern-day theologian’s version of a compromised faith.
As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of The coming of The Son of Man and all heads shall bow at His Glory….some will be given in marriage…
