God’s Word and His ways and His commands are perfect in every way—the revelation-light of His Word revives our souls, leads us to truth, and changes the simple into wise. His Word makes us joyful and radiates His light. His Word challenges us to keep close to His heart.

I prize God’s Word like others prize the finest gold, because the rarest treasures of life are found in His truth. Nothing brings me such sweetness as seeking His living words. They warn me and keep me from evil. They give every obedient soul a lifetime guarantee of great reward. Without this revelation light, how could I detect the waywardness of my heart?

My Prayer: Lord Jesus, forgive my hidden flaws. Keep cleansing me. Keep me from secret, selfish sins—may they never rule over me. May every movement of my heart, my meditations and thoughts, and the words of my mouth be cleansed and purified—made free from fault and innocent of rebellion by the cleansing of your Blood (from Psalm 19:7-14).

Jesus said, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished” (Matthew 5:17-18). God’s Word will stand forever.
