A word was spoken that is applicable for this time—when the balance of power in our nation hangs in the balance:

“The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm” (Exodus 14:14).

This calmness has also been translated as “Hold your peace.” It is something we need to hold on to and not let go.

In a moment of crisis—when the enemy is pressing in and the way forward seems impossible—God’s instruction is not frantic activity or anxious striving. It is an active stillness. Take hold of Peace Himself and know that He is God. Join with Him in the battle and He will fight for us.
