As the election cycle ramps up in America, we need clarity regarding the decisions we make. We need to be clear in what we believe because our actions will follow the choices we make. Is what we are facing a political or a moral issue? There has been a move of recent years to position these decisions in the political realm and attach negative labels to those who make a moral choice in opposition to an approved social narrative. 

God’s truth has always remained the same throughout time. Human interpretation changes over time because it has moved away from the truth of Scripture causing people to wander aimlessly in a world without absolutes.

How we love the nations where we live happens when we define the difference between moral and political choices. The result of that choice will have a critical impact on the future of a nation. It will also determine the content of the truth we share in our everyday conversations and the messages we preach from our pulpits. Choose wisely. The future is at stake.

“Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve” (Joshua 24:15).
