A free person is a threat, not just to a dictatorial regime attempting to gain and keep control, but to the compliant masses. Freedom is not limited to the realm of civil government. It is also spiritual. When we become free people, we can no longer be bought off by the cheap imitations of false freedom that will eventually become our enslavement to a lesser spirit.  

The greatest threat against any attempt to control an individual or group is most clearly seen when a free person is willing to sacrifice their life and treasure for those who live as prisoners to naivety and ignorance. That sacrifice offers them a chance to taste freedom and choose to walk away from the shackles of their bondage.
