If our motivating desire is to just move on and not deal with the issues of culture that conflict with our definition of reality, we will place ourselves in a place of jeopardy. Our integrity will be at stake. In the coming days, some will be faced with this challenge in a very personal way. The spiritual courage these brave ones will be asked to exercise will be exhibited by their willingness to abandon a previously assumed outcome and engage a new set of facts – facts that have become alarmingly obvious. We are at a pivotal point in our national history. Those who are willing to speak the truth in love no matter what the personal cost will be the ones aligned with the heart and mission of God.
