When an enemy, either a natural or spiritual enemy, begins to dictate the terms of a relationship to those in positions of leadership, a defeat has already taken place. In these situations trust quickly erodes if those who were promised protection are abandoned in their time of need. Jesus said He would never leave us or forsake us. The Lord’s model of leadership should motivate all our actions, both at a personal level and in the affairs of a nation.
