An attempt to initiate a radical social reset is unfolding. The Lord is beginning to reposition His people to stand for truth and challenge what is taking place. The Lord is assembling proven spiritual warriors who are skilled in both prayer and Spirit-led action.  People are beginning to be moved by the Lord toward anointings that will be able to lead us in times of intense spiritual warfare. It will resemble what happened with David when he was made king. 

Here are the traits of the warriors who began to assemble under the leadership of David.

THEY WERE PROVEN, “They were among the warriors who fought beside David in battle. All of them were expert archers, and they could shoot arrows or sling stones with their left hand as well as their right” (I Chronicles 12: 1-2). To be proven means we are not new to spiritual warfare. No matter what direction an enemy assault came at them, they could respond effectively.

THEY WERE FIERCE IN BATTLE, “They were expert with both shield and spear, as fierce as lions and as swift as deer on the mountains” (vs. 8). They knew and demonstrated how to handle the weapons of war and how to move in battle. Spiritual warfare is not pretty or predictable. It is a fierce engagement with hell which is full of surprises.

THEY WERE A THREAT TO THE ENEMY, “The weakest among them could take on a hundred regular troops, and the strongest could take on a thousand!”  (vs. 14). These threatening warriors to hell’s plan may, at times, stand alone in battle among fellow believers, but they will still be able to turn away a thousand demonic attacks because the Lord is the one who has empowered their faith.

THEY UNDERSTOOD THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES, “All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take” (vs.32). Of all the traits these warriors of David possessed, knowing the signs of the times was the most important. Without that discernment, the battle plans we create and the weapons we employ will prove futile in the conflict.

As the social reset gains traction, a significant movement will begin to occur within the Church. Some leaders who have failed to discern the signs of the times will label this movement as an act of rebellion against their leadership. It’s not a rebellion. It is the Lord assembling His people around the kind of leadership that has demonstrated an ability to properly discern the lies and deceptions beginning to manifest in the Church and now influencing the culture. Being unaware is not a battle plan.
