When Gideon was being called by God, what the Lord was asking him to do would require a level of strength Gideon did not possess. As Gideon was offering the Lord his objections and asking for multiple signs of confirmation, the Lord said, “Go with the strength you have” (Judges 6:14).
We will never have enough strength to accomplish what God asks us to do if our calling is truly a Spirit-led calling. At some point, we need to make the decision to go and allow the Lord to fill in the blanks of our doubt, weakness, and feelings of incompetence. The decision to move forward in raw obedience has defined the first step taken by all the heroes of faith as they moved forward toward the fulfillment of their calling.

Yes. God often says to me, “Just give me something to work with.” He also delights when we ask Him, “Lord, what do YOU have?”
