THE PURPOSE OF AN INFORMED FAITH

Before I write the following, I want to be very clear about something. If a follower of Jesus is completely uninformed about all that is happening in the world, at the end of time, they will be better off than the most informed person who took their eyes off the Lord and allowed the concerns of the world to rob them of their peace and dismantle their faith. I believe to be informed has a purpose, it gives our faith a place of traction in the real world where people live and struggle. It helps us love our neighbor as ourselves not wanting them to fall victim and be subject to evil forms of control and deception. With that understanding in mind, I want to address some issues.

We live among an alphabet soup of names of organizations like the Federal Reserve (FED), World Health Organization (WHO), World Economic Forum (WEF), and the United Nations (UN). Each of these groups are unelected entities who are attempting to direct the course of nations. These groups are gaining more control stripping away national autonomy for the sake of the “greater good”, a good that will not be seen as good when the full expression of their dominance is finally realized. Add to the mix the influence of social media and broadcast news who are owned by the very individuals and groups that support the goals of alphabet soup groups.

There is presently a swamp of words being used to label people into compliance dismissing whole groups of people who see the writing on the wall. Some of our patriotic neighbors are being labeled as Christian Nationalists. Concerned parents who express their opinion about their child’s school curriculum or the right of a parent to know if life-altering procedures are being performed on their child in secrecy are being labeled as “bigots” or “phobic” when their opinion violates the prepared social script of social compliance. When hidden lies are examined under the light of truth those who reveal those issues are labeled as conspiracy theorists. What is the saddest of all is that some believers have picked up the same language as the world parroting the same malarkey demeaning fellow believers into their naive and unexamined compliance.

Organizations like the FED, WHO, WEF, and the UN are robbing nations of their national sovereignty, the free will of a nation. They do this by imposing mandates fueled by a globalist agenda not in the best interests of those they seek to control. The word I used in the last sentence, “globalist”, is dismissed by eye-rolling individuals who have no idea what it means to be a free people having grown up in the isolation of America and other free nations never having felt the boot heel of Communism or life in a dictatorial state.

While all this is taking place, as bad as its potential can be, God will use all of it to bring about the revelation of His glory on Earth when the truth finally comes to light and causes the deceivers to scurry for cover like insects exposed to the bright light of day.

More than ever before, we need to keep our eyes focused on Jesus as this global reach for power increases its grip. If not, while our nation and the nations of the world go through a dark metamorphosis, we will only see the issues, not the Lord. We will begin to view this life through the lens of our confusion and concern blinded by our lack of a hope-filled focus that is only found in Jesus.

To become informed will not happen by listening to a continual diet of our bought and paid for mainstream news outlets, or social media giants marching in lockstep with those currently sitting in the seats of political power. It will not happen from within the pool of human opinion untethered to biblical truth. It requires a search for truth. It is a labor of love that equips us to love our neighbors with an informed faith that has Jesus as the core.

The Lord said “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves” (Matthew 10:16). Jesus was not giving either/or advice. He was revealing the blended reality of how we are to function with an informed faith in a world filled with deception.

Sometimes, “inside information” informs our faith better than shrewd analysis of outside reports. For Example:

[Psa 2:1-12 ESV] Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying, “Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.” He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision. Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying, “As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.” I will tell of the decree: The LORD said to me, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.” Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

Amen! We know how this will end for some, but also a bright new beginning for others…Eternity with Jesus.
