There has been a lot of waiting for a great, worldwide move of God. Waiting is not the enemy. When we wait upon Him, He promises to renew our strength. Waiting comes before strength and power (see Isaiah 40:31). Wait and watch for the revelation of His love and power to flood our homes, our families, and our land.

In 2020 we began to feel the birth pangs of God’s Great Reset. We have waited for deliverance from enemies both within and surrounding our nation—those who bring trouble, wrongdoing, destruction, and violence. How can such treachery be tolerated?

The answer: we wait, we listen, and we receive.

The prophet Habakkuk recorded what he heard: Write the revelation on your hearts and preserve it. Write it clearly so that others will be able to run with it and explain it to others. His word will not prove false. At the appointed, opportune time, His word will suddenly be fulfilled. It seems slow but be patient and wait—for it will come right on time.

The righteous will live by faith (see Habakkuk 2:4).

Habakkuk also describes our time as he continued to prophesy God’s word: The proud are crooked to the core. The wicked will strive to carry out their plans. They will amass wealth by extortion and enrich their families by cheating others. They have plundered many nations and killed many people. But their efforts are only fuel for the fire. All they have built will go up in smoke.

“For the entire earth is being filled with the revelation of the glory of Yahweh, just as the waters fill the sea” (v. 14).

As world powers shake, Jesus gave us instructions recorded in Acts 1:8. Our response is to wait expectantly, listen intentionally, and receive power from on high. As hidden plans in deep darkness are overcome by the brightness of God’s glory-presence, watch and wait for His love and power to be poured out.
