When Accusation is Afoot

A search through Scripture will reveal that God does not use accusation to challenge His people. Accusation is a tactic used by Satan and his demonic minions against the people of God to weaken their faith and challenge their trust in God. Sadly, whenever a follower of Christ becomes an accuser against another believer, listening to the divisive voice of darkness instead of God’s Spirit, they are partnering with the enemy. That is a perilous decision.

A great conflict took place in heaven when Satan rose up against God and convinced a third of the angels to follow him in his rebellion. As a result, Satan and his fallen angels were cast down to earth. A primary task of this dark army now working in the earth realm is to promote a dark agenda – accusation against the saints of God. That accusing agenda is referenced in Revelation 12, “Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, ‘Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down, the one who accuses them before our God day and night’” (vs.10).

Hell is always looking for naïve or ignorant mouthpieces to do its bidding of accusation. Unfortunately, Satan’s favorite weapon of choice is fellow believers who are willing to do hell’s work creating the desired goal of division within the Church.

If you are being accused your vindication will not come from your own defense or even the faithful defense of close friends. It will come from the Lord. As the intensity of accusation heats up, wait on the Lord. You cannot fight this battle. The Lord has a plan for your defense that no war of accusing words will be able to endure.

“No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; And you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their vindication is from Me,” declares the Lord” (Isaiah 54:17).
