There are times when we speak or write something that will not contain all the facts surrounding an issue. There are reasons for not including every detail. It could be a matter of honor wanting to protect the privacy of someone or even their safety. The threat of censorship also comes into play requiring that we leave out names and places or use a metaphor to convey a thought. Vagueness is not always a sign of fear or a flaw of character. It can happen by the direction of the Spirit for reasons we do not yet fully understand.
A less than full disclosure will offend some people. They may want everything served up to them on an obvious platter without needing to engage in a deeper inquiry that only requires a few minutes of personal research or inquiring of the Lord asking Him to reveal the facts and fill in the blanks.
Some prophetic insight is direct and will contain all the details. At other times it may require we limit ourselves to imagery or subtlety to not go beyond what it was Lord wanted us to share. Jesus was accused of being vague. The prophets of Scripture would sometimes speak in ways that caused people to scratch their heads. It’s nothing new.
If someone requires all the facts upfront before they are willing to receive a word, they could prematurely reject the very word they needed to hear. In their disgust, they might even demean and dismiss the message and its messenger missing what it was that the Lord wanted them to understand.
Some prophetic messages will become clear over time. Other words will be understood only after someone is willing to exercise a bit of patience and take the time to dig deeper into the content of a message to see what it was the Spirit was saying before prematurely rejecting a message out of hand.
I totally agree… But sadly, in our instant society, not enough people are willing to dig for themselves. I am especially concerned for these ones in the days ahead
