When Opinions Differ

Over the last couple of days, I have followed a heated conversation between pastors over a comment made by a respected leader from within their circle of fellowship. Today, some of those posts have been deleted on both sides of the issue. I am assuming the deletions were to lessen the division that surfaced during the discourse. Many times, we can assume other people are on the same page with us, especially if we are from the same expression of faith. What I have learned, and had it reconfirmed again this week, is that we are not as united as we first thought. We shouldn’t waste these moments when an opposing opinion comes to light. We can use these times of uncomfortable exposure to reevaluate the condition of our hearts and dismantle the immaturity of our assumptions. That is how we move forward in a group with a diversity of opinions.

Absolutely wonderful Wisdom in these times! Wisdom is a gift from Papa when we ask for it humbly. Thank you again for your timely words to us, His church.
